Frontline Website
Transformation from print to online only magazine
“Frontline Ireland is a disability magazine in circulation for over 25 years. When we made the transition from print to web we chose Guilder Design. Niall O Laoghaire oversaw every facet of this large project. We were impressed by his thoroughness, his knowledge of technical aspects and their insight. Always ready to answer a phone call or an email. We now have a modern web presence that caters to our users needs. I would highly recommend Guilder Design to ensure your project goes smoothly.
Brian Manning, Frontline Editor
Frontline Ireland Magazine had been running since 1998 as a quarterly in print only. It is the voice of Intellectual Disability (ID) in Ireland for people with an ID, professionals, carers & families. A decision was made by the Board in 2014 to convert to online only in order to move with the changing digital landscape. As the existing designer for the magazine, I was happy both to consult on the switch & also design & develop a new site for them.
Challenges included: commissioning a flow of articles to the new site without the pressure of a print deadline; accessibility for those with an ID; publicising the site through social media & uploading the archive of articles (1,200) going back to June 1998.
