IUCN World Heritage Outlook 2014

Design & Layout of Printed Report for the IUCN

“We have found creativity, precision and professionalism in the services provided by Guilder Design. Niall successfully translated vague ideas into clear design to deliver solutions that created impact for the IUCN World Heritage Outlook. The design he developed is at the same time beautiful and practical, helping us to showcase the importance of our work. The outstanding work he did for the Outlook report most definitely contributed to its success as the most downloaded publication of the IUCN World Parks Congress 2014, where it was launched.

Niall has proven that he can skilfully apply corporate branding guidelines or be as versatile as necessary. The work he has produced for us is wide-ranging and includes designing an emblem, an interactive map, a leaflet, a banner and several publications. Each time he listened to our needs and delivered to our expectations, while also taking care to respect printers’ specifications.

IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is the world’s oldest & largest global environmental organisation, with almost 1,300 government & NGO Members. The IUCN World Heritage Outlook is the first global assessment of all natural World Heritage sites & the action needed to achieve excellence in their conservation. I was delighted to be chosen to design the print report based the assessment’s findings.

The layout has a large number of graphics: charts, tables & photos. Of key importance was the Conservation Gauge representing each Heritage site in four states ranging from Critical (red) to Good (green).
